About

bio photoHi my name is Danielle Rouse,  author of Fresh4Five| Real Food, Fresh Ideas,  and a student of Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I am a wife and mother to 3 beautiful children.

I am so happy you are here! I hope you will be able to find a recipe or two that meet your needs and peek your interest.

A little bit about the food I eat and what you can expect to find here on Fresh4Five.

I do not follow a specific diet label, unless the *Danielle Diet* counts. I believe foremost in eating Real Food, from there I feel it is important to listen to your own body; eating what you can tolerate and what will nourish you for a long and happy life. I would say my diet looks very similar to The Paleo Diet, give or take a few items. Maybe I am an 80/20 person, I don’t know…labels…

The beauty of my mixed diet is that most people will likely find something they can eat here on Fresh4Five. Even someone with no diet restrictions at all whom is just looking to improve their life by eating less processed food.

What you can expect to find on Fresh4Five with consistency:

Delicious, well tested recipes that are Paleo, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Soy-Free, Nut & Peanut-Free, and oddly enough Latex Fruit Family Free (banana, avocado, chestnuts, kiwi)

I am very excited about starting school this year, working towards becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I want my recipes to not only taste great, but hopefully come with greater knowledge about health and wellness.

  1. You had me had “Latex fruit family free” !
Although, I have celiac disease, I also am allergic to latex after many years of exposure to it from working as an RN in the hospital.
